Emily
Emily understands how important it is to have someone in your corner through all seasons of life. She approaches therapy through a strengths-based lens - believing that all clients, regardless of where they are at now, can use their strengths to foster resilience and achieve their goals. As there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, Emily often brings in elements of Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior, Solution Focused, and Narrative Therapy along the way. Emily is passionate about creating the space needed for clients to process through hard experiences while also celebrating each day's little wins! Whatever her clients need in their space, she prides herself on her ability to meet them there.
Emily earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from the University of Northern Colorado and her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Working with students in the university setting since 2018, she has specialized in life transitions and the stress that accompanies big change.
Since becoming a counselor, she has worked with people of all backgrounds facing issues including depression, anxiety, perinatal concerns, attachment, body image, and more. Being a mother herself, she is also passionate about perinatal care and understands the deep necessity for mental health care in addition to medical care during this season. Emily was trained in the Christian ministry field, allowing her to offer faith-integrated counseling for those who seek it, blending psychological principles with spiritual insights to support holistic well-being.
